A registered nurse with extensive clinical and teaching experience in the areas of paediatrics, acute and community nursing with a particular focus on case management. Post graduate studies have provided depth and insight into the educational requirements of students from a diverse background. Ashton teaches third year undergraduate nursing students and is the lecturer in charge of a unit which focuses on chronic illness and disability at Australian Catholic University.
