Kate Francis has been involved in health behaviour research and program evaluation throughout her career. Previous employment includes working at the Problem Gambling Research and Treatment Centre, at the University of Melbourne, and the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer, at the Cancer Council Victoria.
She believes in the importance of working in conjunction with others to produce useful outcomes from research and has experience working with community groups, service providers, and government. She also has skills in quantitative data analysis, and is undertaking post graduate study in biostatistics.
