Sabine Pircher has over nine years’ experience working in the field of Public Health. She enjoys the journey of researching new information, drawing conclusions and formulating logical arguments of high quality. Whilst being employed in the Northern Territory she developed great interest in the areas of Indigenous health and chronic disease. She has been providing high level project coordination and research support to a variety of projects focusing on Diabetes prevention, impacts of alcohol and other drugs, alcohol-harm reduction, avoidable mortality and hospitalisation, and most recently to a three year retrospective study examining cancer and mortality in firefighters with Monash University.
Sabine joined CHaSR in January 2015 as a Research Officer where she will be providing leadership and management of several projects.
